]]>First, a little taste of home: Oh Canada
Oh Canada is an eggs benedict with two poached eggs, creamy hollandaise sauce, on peameal bacon, a fluffy English muffin and BOOM Frites. The Canadian spin on the regular eggs benedict comes with the addition of peameal bacon, which incidentally is native to our very own Toronto. We happen to think that peameal bacon is one of Canada’s most delicious achievements and we’re proud to serve it in any way we can.
Heading South: Broadway Bagel
We now head to New York’s Broadway street where bright lights, colour and glamour meet sophistication. Our Broadway Bagel is made with fresh Nanuk salmon, silky cream cheese, red onions and a drizzle of olive oil. It’s bright, colourful and sophisticated, just like its namesake.
Still in Manhattan: Manhattan Steak
Steak, we believe, is the food given to mankind by the god of awesomeness! It just so happens that New York got it right first; in fact, the restaurant to have made the best steak in America was traced back to Delmonico’s, which opened in 1927 and stayed open for nearly a century! Such joints carved out the legacy of New York steaks and we took a page from their books to create our Manhattan Steak, a 6 oz hunk of beautiful strip loin, grilled medium-well, with two eggs any style, BOOM frites, fresh fruit garnish and toast.
TexMex Fiesta: Huevos Rancheros Burrito
The traditional burrito made with meat, beans, rice, salsa sour cream and cheese wrapped in a tortilla originated in the United States by Mexican immigrants. We thought we’d bring the fiesta to the breakfast table with our Huevos Rancheros Burrito. With scrambled eggs, tomatoes, green onions, guacamole, salsa and BOOM frites on the side, you get all the flavours of Mexico, US and Canada, all rolled into one fantastico burrito.
Welcome to Tuscany: Tuscan Sun
Italy runs in our blood, especially with the Cappellano family leading the charge. So it’s no surprise that we’ve brought the incredible food-power of Italy to the breakfast table. Our Tuscan Sun is obviously one such dish. Prosciutto, a thinly sliced Italian ham, is the star of this dish, as it brings together the poached eggs, roasted tomatoes on rye bread and BOOM frites, creating a symphony of Italian flavours in your mouth.
Let’s go to Greece: Mediterranean Tuna Salad
The shores of Greece are calling your name. We put a breakfast twist to the traditional Greek Tuna Salad – by adding eggs into the mix! Our Mediterranean Tuna Salad is made with tuna in olive oil, a hard boiled egg, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, red onions and honey dijon vinaigrette dressing to give you that zing of delicious greek cuisine.
Canada, Mexico, Italy, Greece or the USA, we take you wherever your breakfast desires may lead. Order up one of our global inspirations to enjoy the best international breakfast food that Toronto has to offer!

]]>Here are some BOOM-tastic meals you should try right after your workout.
Breakfast Sandwiches
An egg sandwich like our Adam Spanglish is a perfect post-workout breakfast. There’s protein in both the yolk and the white of an egg, and this recipe uses a combination of the two to boost protein while keeping calories and fat under control. Eggs also contain zinc, which aids in metabolism and immunity, and vitamin B12, which supports cell production. Cheese and fresh veggies round out this meal to restore tired muscles and recharge your energy stores.
Omelette
As you now know, eggs are a great source of protein and help aid in muscle recovery and growth. Mix this up with an omelette and veggie combo for even better results, something like our Farmer Gianni. The roasted red peppers, spinach and onions in this omelette are packed with vitamins which will provide you with antioxidants, the best boost for your body, inside and out. Plus there’s a hit of swiss cheese to give it that extra yummy flavour profile.
Wraps
If you’re a lunchtime exerciser, this Tuna Del Mar Warp is for you. Tuna is low in calories, but high in protein and carbs. Hard boiled eggs are packed with protein, tomatoes have vitamin C and the avocado in the guacamole is a great source of fiber. All in all, you can’t go wrong with this one. It’s nutritious, delicious and will help boost your workout efforts.
Fruit and Yogurt
Want to keep your breakfast fresh, light and healthy after hitting the gym? Then you’ll love our Smart Fruit N’ Yogurt. The yogurt is a great source of protein and carbohydrates. It also contains bacterial cultures which a good for your digestive system. The fresh fruit provides you with vitamins and antioxidants, while the granola and honey account for protein, carbs and some healthy fat. Put it all together and you’ve got yourself a fresh, light and nutritious breakfast snack.
Chocolate Milk
Who would have thought that one of the best childhood drinks would become one of the best post-workout drinks of all times. It turns out that chocolate milk is even better for you than plain milk, water, or most sports drinks. It has double the carbohydrate and protein content, perfect for replenishing tired muscles. Its high water content replaces fluids lost as sweat, preventing dehydration. Plus it packs a nutritional bonus of calcium, and includes just a little sodium and sugar — additives that help recovering athletes retain water and regain energy. So next time you order chocolate milk off of our menu, we know that it’s not just because it delicious, you’re looking out for your tired muscles.
