We can’t read minds (okay, we can, but we like to keep it quiet – freaks people out), but we sense that you’re out there looking for more great breakfast ideas. We recently featured our Good Morning Smoothie, and we got such a great response, we figured we’d keep it going. 

Lots of people have told us not to give away our Smoothie secrets. Sorry – we love our customers too much! If you can’t come into BOOM Breakfast & Co for one of our signature Smoothies, then we’d love for you to be able to make it in the convenience of your own at home. 

Here’s what it might look like if we made it, and put it on a BOOM Breakfast & Co napkin.

HoneyBee

The Honey Bee Smoothie is rich and flavourful, and packed with delicious fruits and yogurt, along with a touch of honey sweetness (and here’s a big shout out to the hard-working bee community). 

The goodness begins with the ingredients: blueberries, bananas, yogurt and honey. Feel free to experiment by adding more of one and less of another. Flavoured yogurt adds another dimension, but be careful. Flavoured yogurts tend to be packed with sugar, and they can overpower the fruits. If you’re feeling particularly dangerous, try using a dab of Greek Yogurt – provides a creamier Smoothie.

Here we go:  The BOOM Honey Bee Smoothie

To serve four people who want an Awesome Smoothie!

1 ¼ cups of plain yogurt
1 cup of blueberries
1 or 1 ¼ bananas
3 tsp of honey
1 ½ cups of ice

Mix the ingredients in a blender until smooth and frothy. Pour into glasses ASAP and enjoy immensely.
