From the leadership team to the on-site operations in the kitchen and the friendly faces taking your order at the table, Boom is all about family. And family is all about food! So here’s what the family recommends.
Our founder Tony Cappellano passed away suddenly last year but remains the head and heart of the Boom Breakfast family. He opened the first Boom location in 2003 at College Street in Toronto. Not surprisingly, there’s a sandwich named after this legend!

What’s In It: grilled chicken, swiss cheese, bacon, guacamole and tomato on multi-grain with shoestring fries
Tony’s son James leads the Boom Breakfast & Co. management team alongside his brother Jeffrey. For breakfast, James is an omelette kind of guy.

James’ brother Jeff operated Boom’s Vaughan location through its first eight years and now oversees special projects as they carry on the legacy that Tony inspired: one focused on family, friends, and of course, food.
What’s In It: Scrambled eggs, grilled chicken, spinach, cheddar cheese in a whole wheat tortilla. with guacamole, salsa, sour cream and BOOM Frites
Mafalda (“Muffy”) met Tony in 1994 at the Mars Diner in Toronto where they both worked. They continued to work very closely together at the College, St. Clair and Eglinton Boom locations for nearly twenty years as business and life partners. When it comes time to sit down for a meal, Muffy chooses the Benny Boom.

Mirella joined forces with her brother Tonino, the founder of Boom Breakfast, shortly after he opened our first store on College Street in 2003.

For seventeen years, Rose (Tony’s sister) has worked with her family and been integral to the opening and running of Boom at College St., St. Clair Ave. West, and now Eglinton.

Tony’s Niece Connie is an integral member of the leadership team. She started working at Boom alongside James who managed the College St. location as a server in 2008. After a few years, she became more involved in the operations and soon became a partner at the Vaughan Boom Breakfast & Co. location.

Lena has worked at the Boom Breakfast St. Clair location since 2017 and worked alongside her Uncle Tony for years. Lena wears many hats including hostess, barista, server, and team trainer.
