A very early and spectacular summer morning greeted us at BMO Field, Sunday, June 22. We were excited to fuel 1000 participants (our largest event to date) taking part in MLSE’s Team Up Challenge.
The event generated $600,000 in support of Camp Trillium enabling children with cancer to enjoy a summer of fun in the Muskokas. Breakfast Porkloin Sandwiches (Veggie option as well) served with a little help from our friends at Reunion Island Coffee and Juice Concepts who donated Lambeth Groves 100% fresh squeezed OJ.
A fun highlight was meeting legendary Al Iafrate, a former Maple Leaf while also spotting Darcy Tucker and Superstar Captain, Darryl Sittler.

Each team between eight to ten players competed in three events, street hockey, basketball and soccer to overcome their competition and be the event champs among 100 participating teams. A big congratulations to team Osler for winning the day’s event!
Special mention:
In the months long buildup to event day, teams had an opportunity to win various consolation prizes. One such prize awarded exclusively through social media was a donated breakfast by BOOM for their entire team. We’re looking forward to serving team @Salesforce in the near future and congratulations to all!
